      Yes. After completing your basic training (4h or 12h), you must visit the cantonal road traffic office with your certificate. Your learner's licence will then be extended by 12 months, allowing you to register for the practical test.

      Yes. You can go directly for the A licence (all engine sizes) from the age of 24. If you are 20 and have held an A2 licence for at least 2 years, you can also access it via the A2-to-A upgrade (4h basic training).
